Round 1 of the 2020 XRAY Race Series will be held at Whalan Model Car Club (WMCC), located in Whalan Reserve off Debrincat Avenue on the 25-26th of January 2020.
Practice and Race Day Information
Practice will be Saturday 25th of January, with seeding at the end of the day over 2 rounds (best 3 consecutive laps). Qualifying and Mains will be held on Sunday 26th of January 2020.
- Saturday gates open at 9:00AM
- Open practice at 10:00AM, seeing how the day progresses and the speed differences at this track, controlled practice in groups will be put into place when it gets too busy.
- Practice will be open until 4PM, you are welcome to stay and cut laps as it is a public track and this is not a restricted sanctioned RCRA event where the track is required to be closed to competitors.
- Sunday Gates will open at 7:30AM, Open Practice after track prep, then Racing will begin at 9:00AM.
- 3 qualifiers will be completed to be followed by Triple A-mains and double lower mains, if time is restricted lower mains will be reduced to 1 Final.
- TC classes will have priority if any delays are experienced (eg weather).
- Demo classes will require at least 4 paid entries to run.
Touring Classes (TC)
All TC classes are as per RCRA Regulations on batteries/motors/bodies etc. Max charge current 10A @ max voltage of 8.40V with no tolerance.

- EP Touring 13.5
- EP Touring Modified
Demo Classes
We are offering all to keep it fun but we will only run up to 2 MAX - the most popular or first 2 complete heat paid entries, minimum 4 paid entries to run. So grab your friends and register as soon as possible!
- Outlaw (any electric car/body motor/tyres, just get around the track as fast as you can for 5 mins)
- Formula 1
- 12th Scale 13.5
Entry Fees
Kids under 18 years of age are free to any and all classes!
Adult entry fees (18 years and above):- 1st Class $25
- 2nd Class: $5
- 3rd Class: $FREE
Control Tyres
These will be handed out on Race day and must be purchased from the club.
- Much More Rush 36X pre-glued (MR-RS-PGA36X) $40 per set
- Junior/Novice will be provided a set of used tyres at no charge and must be returned at the end of racing.
- F1 Rules as per on RC Formula 1, Rubber tyres only.
- Demo class tyres must be self sourced.
Control Motors:
All eligible motors
MUST have the XRAY branding on the motor case.
Motors can be purchased track side or from
www.nbhc.com.au. Hire motors are released track side only on race day morning.
