Hi guys, I drive for the Tekno UK SCT team, Team Kirk,
This is almost what I run on Astro, - it depends on the condition - if its a 1/8th track I drop the shock oils to cope with the bumps and build the shocks with bladders as it helps the car jump better,
Key thing on astro is to try and get rid of as much of the steering as possible, hence the mahoosive 3mm anti roll bar, we also cut many rows off the front tyres, depending on the track tightness you can move the steering akerman links further forward for a much more direct and agressive steering and back for more relaxed feel,
Finally - depending on tyres this truck really likes some negative camber, I've been running on Proline pinpoints and ran 4deg before and the thing was on rails. I think because of the profile of the tyres and the fact its a big heavy SCT the roll characteristics dynamically change the camber more in the bend (than say a normal 4wd 1/10th scale) so the 4 degree camber helps get more of the pins on the astro generating more grip if that makes sense!
Hope this helps!
Tristan
Edit - well because I am a new member I cant upload any pics yet so if anyone wants setups just message me and I'll get them to you somehow!
Cheers
