Except with a sensored motor, if the wires are not correct, the motor shouldn't even spin. Or at least it would be coggy.

When you are going forward on the transmitter, is the motor spinning counter clockwise? It sounds like you have forward and reverse, reversed.

Does the ESC have any lights on it at neutral?
