You can not expect that an heater connected to a motor by some head fins will transfer all the heat to the motor. A tight contact will help to make it better as I do see a lot of guys shift the heater over th head as if it is not tight.
You want something better, take a simple hair dryer, put a piece of pipe on it so you can place it over the head. The hot airflow will heat up the engine.
Tried the hair dryer with the heater on as well and still 175-180ish is all I can get out of hit at the plug or where the pinch is. I am breaking in a new motor and will just pickup a heat gun and go back to my engine old school way. Heard good things about the heaters though but maybe it is perfect after my breaking ins are complete to heat up to about 125-130ish at pinch area and bump it and roll on, Thanks for your reply gents
