More level is usually softer suspension. Xray has that long tongue on the pod top plate. Seems to improve damping. Someone said the forward mounting was less prone to traction rolling and better for grip. I can't see how, except for moving some weight forward.
The angle in person, isn't as different as you think. The CRC is only a little steeper. Both work fine.
I have both cars. The Xray is way quicker to set droop and ride height on. The vampire E clips on the CRC shock shaft are going to put someones eye out, or get stuck in your finger.
Nothing says ouch like an e clip fully in-bedded in the flesh under your finger nail. FYI: you can't rip an e clip out. It holds on, and you'd be startled how much the flesh under your nail can stretch without tearing. You have to cut the e clip in half with rusty side cutters, and rotate each half out.
I'd like to try an Xray shock on the CRC, with another lower shock mount, mounted forward. I have a spare shock. Going to need to oven clean off the orange first.
