I'd use a 12v car battery for a 30a regenerative discharge and for a 12v power supply. Keep a float charger on a switch to top off the battery, but never so much that it can't be a discharge load.

Then simple resistors to lower voltage to the glue machine and such. Although a large rc battery can run those for months on a single charge, so why bother?

My truer is connected to an old battery, I charge it twice a year at most.
