Gorilla tape softcase lipo for bashing. Leave open rear for vent OK ?

i have alot softpacks
if i want reinforce them.
Can i put gorilla tape round them softly ( not tight )
And leave the rear end open for venting is enough maybe ?
I was thinking about protect them extra in front and sides , if i crash in bushes with hard sticks or so that maybe can penetrate the softbodies too easy if they got under the body shell also in fast crashes
Let the whole rear end vent is more than hardcases can do i think also ?
Many of my favorite big lipos like 7000mah that are good and cheap is softcases
so gorilla tape some `? is this ok?
