While you put this question in both onroad and offroad section it would be nice to know for what purpose. A high timed onroad engine will run as crap in an offroad....

And what is high timed?
There are several ways to get more performance out of an engine, the latest trend is a very large crank timing with a normal or even low exhaust timing and before that a normal but a bit enlarged crank timing and a high exhaust port.
