stiffens chassis front to back. More direct feel when braking, or I used to use them on my car when using the optional thinner top deck for more flex, i found the top deck made the car too soft front to back, so used the stiffener to keep rigidity front to back but still give me the torsion flex i want from the thinner top deck. Just my experience
