I am not familiar with 21.5T motors since I mostly race in the 17.5T class in off road 2wd buggy.
I have tried in 17.5T Tekin Spec R, R1 V21, XFactor.... so far my favorites are the tekin and xfactor.

I am also curious about the SMC low rider for 21.5t.

I am running a R1 V16 21.5T right now. Running at 3.77 FDR. Car is lacking a bit of punch (100/45 gearing)

Would appreciate inputs thx.
The R1 V16 is still a decent motor, you'll be hard pressed to find something much better than it while staying under $140. The Surpass V4S is probably your best bet for something cheap.
