The only change was the color of the X on the fan shroud. A lot of people seemed to think that we changed power limits on the silver X model, but there was no hardware or software differences.

At some point we did change to a slightly different fan, but that change did not change at the same time as the fan shroud change. The fan voltage is the same as BEC voltage. We had a higher failure rate with the fan than we would like, so we changed to a higher voltage fan that had the same RPM rating. It is spinning slower at the same voltage. It does not affect cooling performance much, but it does help the fan last for longer.

The motor wires went to all black when we moved to our sensored motor. If it has the tri-color wires, it is a sensorless motor.
