My Xr8 plus does not beep or power the motor when the switch is turned on. The esc responds to throttle input as evident by the red led indicator but the motor does not work and neither is there a beep. If I try to turn the motor shaft by hand whilst applying throttle/reverse, there is very slight resistance for a small period of time(less than 1 second) . Where did you purchase the XR8+?
Can you post a photo of the supposed capacitor leakage? It could definitely be causing the issue.
Unsure what you mean by 5V capacitor though, the capacitors in the XR8+ should be 35V rated, they are Rubycon branded parts (with high temp and high ripple ratings, generally reliable unless ESC is counterfeit).
They can be replaced if needed.
