I tested the switch with a multi-meter and the switch is operational.
If the hotwire still talks to the esc, try downgrading and then re-uploading the firmware version. That has fixed some esc's in the past for myself and some locals. This issue was more common years ago, though. Not sure if it's still the same problem.
