Tip Tinner renews the plating on tips. So as long as you are proactive your tips should not ever wear out no matter what company makes them.

Never wearing out is a stretch, but you can make them last a long time.

The plating is going to react to the solder and O2 in the air, just at a slower rate. Keeping the tip clean, tinned, and at reasonable temps slows down the process.
