I was fitting my center diff the other day in the mount and noticed a lot of side to side play. I don't mind just a little bit of play but this is way too much. I linked a shim set below. Are these what I use to shim the front center rear diffs? Also may be an obvious question but how do I shim the diff (outer bearings) when the notches in the diff cases fit the bearings perfectly. There's no room for shims. I tried shimming the front diff the other day but the diff seated in the case like a glove. What am I missing? I tried seating it with 1 shim on ring side and it wouldnt fit, I almost bent the shim trying to seat the diff. Is it supposed to be that tight fitting with shims?
