I spent time with the Gen8 this past weekend, and I decided to start clearing out the windows and paint the roof.
First, I cleared out the windows with
Tamiya Polycarbonate body cleaner
And used my trusty
Frog Tape to mask stuff off.
Painted the top with
Tamiya PS-5 Black, then
Tamiya PS-55 Flat Clear. I then decided to go ahead and put
Plasti-Dip on top of that for the texture. If the
Plasti-Dip peels off, at least I'll still have the Matte Black look underneath.
I wanted to keep the window frame from the decals, so I cut the middle blacked out part of the decals out.
I feel like it came out looking pretty decent.
