got to finish up our point series with some tekin gear. The track is smaller, torque is king. was having issues getting my 2wd buggy to hook up properly on the carpet surface that is bumpy underneath. finally got that issue I think solved.

For the classes we run 4wd buggy mod but the track is sized such that a 13.5 motor is more than enough, and 17.5 spec 2wd buggy.

The spec-Rs really offer some nice revs. I kept feeling like the motor would keep pulling more and more. Its low end was also quite respectable versus some other motors which were more torque oriented. Playing with some timing and gearing changes worked well in that regard.

I was actually surprised how well I finished in our super competitive 2wd buggy class, and even though the gremlins came out for me in 4wd buggy, from what I could tell I still set the fastest single lap for all the qualifiers, being the only one under the 14 second mark, with motors coming off nice and cool. Allowed me to finish a respectable 3rd place for 2wd and 4wd buggy for the series.

Looking forward to moving to outdoor turf!

Side question, with the growth of 1/10 4wd truggies these days, seeing places going with a spec 10.5T motor. Does tekin feel of Spec-R 10.5 version would be able to handle the load if made?
