PURPOSE:
—To gather like minded RC hobbyists together, to play their classic RC off-roaders and to celebrate the fun and excitement of RC.
—To encourage juniors to enjoy the RC hobby.
—To provide a fun and exciting environment for the RC hobbyist.
DATES AND VENUE:
—For the moment, the first event will be held on 13th April 2019
—Event is slated for start at 9am and should end by 1pm
—Venue will be Urban PlaySpace: 190 Middle Road, Level 6B – 7 of the Multi- Story Carpark of Fortune Centre, 188979.
CLASSES:
Classic Car Class
—For anyone aged above 13 years old.
Junior Class
—For anyone aged 12 years old or under.
Classy Classic Styles Class
—All participants are automatically enrolled into this class free.
CLASSIC CAR CLASS RULES:
—Must be a 1/10 or 1/12 scale off road vehicle (can be buggy, truck, monster, crawler, wheelie, rallye… etc) with origins dating back to before year 2003. Actual vehicles can be re-releases, modified with modern parts or (BEST!) homemade.
—No motor Limit (please use your own discretion, it’s a fun race. Go home with an intact vehicle…)
—Vintage looking painted body shell and style (No forward cab rubbish, unless that was what came with your vehicle).
—No tyre limit
JUNIOR CLASS RULES:
—Any off road vehicle can be used, not limited to classic models. This is to provide junior hobbyists with easily repairable vehicles. Please use discretion when choosing. Go for tough, easily repairable vehicles that are easy to drive and have fun with. Modern vehicles can be used.
—No motor limit. Please use discretion.
—No tyre limit
RACE FORMAT:
—Classic Reedy rotational starts used for mains (so everyone gets to go first, at some point)
—Classic line starts for qualifying (not staggered starts)
WIN THIS BIT OF HISTORY!

HOW?
—Get the Tamiya Manta Ray by winning the Classy Classic Styles Contest.
—Car must have a classic style body shell (no forward cab) and classic inspired paint job and decal detailing. Paint job must be neat and tidy at arm’s length. This shell must be used on your runner. Details (such as well appointed driver figures, lights and other random bits) add to judging score.
—Creativity whilst keeping to a classic look. Looks that do not look modern (current pro painted type paint jobs) scores better
—This is a judged event and there can ONLY be one winner! Panel of judges will be selected at random, on race day.
