Some drilled holes through the ribs is only saving a view grams, nothing important. To me the looks is less important than the performance, you can always mount an onroad head or something else smaller when it is cold outside but in hot conditions I will choose this head above the small low profile OS heads.
If you're chasing every last gram on the car, it's a cheap fix, and it is at the highest point of the car.
I know I've measured before and after, but can't find any notes on it now.
I do believe it ran slightly cooler as well, but my memory fails to remember any specific numbers.
