Same here w/ only using the plastic pinions. All have been snug on the motor shaft.
Dennis, I am sorry your having trouble w/ your Carisma. You said you tried 2 ESC's and same issue w/ both?
The first Carisma I every ordered (via Amazon) had a similar issue. Would not go unless I gave it a push, then it would only go at a very slow speed. Slow to start, etc ...I returned it (Amazon is great w/ returns) and got a new GT24b, no issue. I own 3 and have not had this issue w/ any other. I would definitely contact Carisma like Billy recommended. Your car doesn't seem to be functioning correctly, -even on 1s it should be pretty zippy and not lag to take off.
