I just started back onroad racing after about 3 year leave and this spool is new to me vs a ball diff. I can't tell much different with feel other than It seems to get more out of corner speed. The more I drive the more I have had to consciously slow my trigger finger down when I lift entering a 180 and pull the trigger exiting the corner. I feel if you just peg down all you are doing is draining the battery and heating the motor. More so in 21.5 and 17.5. Does anyone else agree and have some tips?
The time spent at such low RPM is small, drive as hard and as smooth as you can to get better lap times, and worry about heat in the pits instead of on the drivers stand.
