So I need to ask this, are you using the the " button/switch" as well or could you just cut that part out and put it to the adapter and plug in?? As I have a head heater 12 volt version and button sticks and shuts off in about 2-3 minutes, so has anyone cut the actual switch off and connected or your thoughts on this?.

One feature I liked with the electric one was you could plug it in 20 minutes before your race and not worry about it shutting off, so any input?
