Checking back in on the Ford GT body - specifically the wing.

Cut the wing on the lower cut line across the main element, that is the USGT legal line. Just trim the side plates on the top side to match. I cut my wing this way and it's almost dead on 10mm USGT legal. Yeah, the wing is thin and flexes a bit. Be careful to align the mounting holes well or it will twist when you tighten down the screws.
