To add a discharge resistor you have to split the positive line and plug in the resistor which takes 3 steps. 6 steps to swap between charge and discharge. This is plugged in to charge and unplugged to discharge plus you can do it on the fly and not break your connection. So if you are sitting at the bench you can cycle with the jumper when the battery is in its 3 minute rest phase without disturbing the cycle program.
