Except now you can hook it up to a programmer card and tune it.
The 60 Amp unit I think you are talking about is this one:
Hobbywing Quicrun 10BL60 Sensored 60 Amp ESC
Looks like the quicrun version of the xr10 juststock esc and should work quite well too. May give you more options as it has the option of running a sensored motor if one fits in the vehicle.
As for motors, the LC Racing kits I would get in here we had them all equipped with the tenshock motor. It works quite well. The stock LC motor though looked like it worked fine too for the one guy who had one, no issues on heat in buggy mode (LC Racings SCTs and Truggies are longer)
