Belt drive is probably the way to go. Going to need a good amount of gear reduction, you don't need that paddle spinning fast. May have to use transmission (maybe Axial or some other brand), put a small pulley on the output and large pulley on the paddle wheel.
Thanks. I was thinking the drive gear will have to be large, That,s why I was thinking gas heli starter gears, they are a good size, and then use the hub off an electric starter. trimmed up to fit on a motor shaft. What size motor should we be looking for?
