Hello and thanks for looking. I’m selling this one of a kind, over the top, custom Axial Yeti built with some of the very best components. There was no budget for this build and while everyone has their own taste/opinion, this is likely one of the nicest Yetis you will ever see.
The rig was purchased from the original builder who ran it once in his backyard & then shelved it. Upon receipt, I fully disassembled and rebuilt to my taste adding the Holmes motor, KO servo, Currie axle, SSD 2-speed, D-lux Fab Front shafts, Zeus Strong Arms, Lights, Wheels/Tires and so much more. This is truly a no expense spared dream build retaining the original Yeti design & scale look while improving durability and performance.
I’m a mature adult with over 33 years’ experience in the hobby and retired 1/8 off road racer. I also have OCD and it shows in everything I build, this is no exception. Transmission, transfer case and Currie axle are fully greased and then broken in using 24v drill spinning both directions for 5 minutes each. Shocks were built right with o-rings pre-oiled and shafts treated with slime. The paint work on the body is fantastic. The interior detail is also very impressive from the seatbelts on the drivers to the painted fire extinguisher on the cage! Even the KOH light is custom mounted into the rear upper cage for a very clean & scale look.
Currently set up to run 3S to enable some crawler capabilities although I built the drive train to withstand 4S for additional power. This rig does not include a transmitter, receiver, battery or battery charger. Please note the 2-speed Transmission and Hey-Ok light controller require a 4-channel radio system to operate both remotely. You could use a 3-channel system by re-wiring the lights to bypass the controller and go straight off the BEC.
Truth be told, early this year I fell in love with the 1.9 class, so this Yeti has NEVER been run after I completed the build late spring, it’s in like new condition. This is one of my favorites and I don’t need to sell it so I will not give it away. I know this is not for everyone, but I do know there’s a select few out there who will really appreciate this for what it is along with the time, effort and money that went into this one of a kind custom build.
