I use the Sanwa M12 and like to utilize its Race Mode Options which changes the throttle D/R on the fly.
The ESC does NOT recognize a change from WOT until the D/R reaches 84%....Basically 85-100 is still WOT to the ESC, and I have confirmed this by the LED's all lit and flashing at WOT and do not change until the D/R reaches 84%. The brakes D/R values are way off as well.
If changes are made to the EPA it operates correctly.
I have done hard resets, reinstalling updates, etc........nothing changes. Also correctly calibrated at 100%
I have a buddy who uses the M12 and race modes and D/R rate adjustments...His does the same thing
Sanwa's "Dual rate" on the throttle/brake side doesn't work exactly as you'd expect "dual rate" to act. For example on steering dual rate equally reduces/raises the settings equally left/right. This is NOT the case on the throttle mode, which is what you'd expect since "dual" means two or both.

I have confirmed that with Sanwa engineers. If you want to reduce your throttle power I always suggest EPA. Brake D/R does work similar to turning down Brake EPA so that should be fine. In my opinion that feature should have been called "Brake Strength or Brake Power" since the D/R or "dual rate" label is misleading.
