I used to think FlySky worked well in general, certainly gets the job done... but over time FlySky has disappointed me and I found Radiolink to be far better for roughly the same price.

Issues I had with FlySky
1) On/off button would stick because it's a push button, sometimes it would accidentally turn on when stored in a carry case!
2) Rx's would fail on me as often as every 3-6 months, though I have heard the newer generation of Rx's tend to last longer
3) Only 3 character model names and limited selection of characters to choose from
4) Limited advanced programming features such as lack of channel mixing unless you hacked the system but even then you will have to give up other features

For VRC, none of these issues really matter, but if you think you might want a dual purpose system, then I prefer Radiolink, I've ditched all my FlySky systems in favor of Radiolink
