No offense to the guys in this video, but this video is total BS. If you recall, IFMAR was talking about going 2s with a 5.5 limit. So they put in 2s with a 5.5. They all knew it wouldn't work and wanted to make a cool video. Something like 2s 10.5 would be closer to what mod currently is. No one runs a 3.5 in 2wd buggy because its uncontrollable so they gravitate to what does work. 12th on 2s would be the same. For the record, I'm all for going 2s in mod.



Been tried. Because of the high kV winds, there are problems getting the gearing right. Basically for the motor to not hit the axle, the spur has to be bigger than the rear tire.
