I use a thumbtack thru the little hole. Tap it in. Ive found if they need to come out using this method, they're usually toast.

Though the hingepin might just be slightly bent, in that case I just take my time to bend it straight till it can roll pretty freely cause I'm to cheap and impatient to wait for parts sometimes.
