one thing I noticed is that I was painting on hot days ...it seems to me that the paint was drying before it hit the body, thus didn't stick as well. It would flake off later when I raced. The very last body I painted I did in the morning when it was about 66* out, the paint stuck much better.

Very good observation. I painted in the heat and have lots of problems. I'm a newb and really need the paint to stick. lol I'm switching from Spazstix to Tamiya though, since my results have been worse that I had hoped for.
