This is the norm to do on all track surfaces. You do need to be a clean driver though. If you case jumps, you can very easily bend the middle front driveshaft. But removing the middle and rear braces allows the chassis to flex and provides much better rear traction as well.
This. I am about a middle of the road driver, in general I personally now am running both the front and middle braces as the track I go to for running this vehicle has a pretty big jump that if for some reason you hit it wrong, you will have a hard impact and the flex on the chassis is enough to do what was described here. So personally at a minimum I would start with just the rear brace removed and see how you like it.
