172mm was as narrow as I could get it to go on the 12R6. I pulled it in close to 3mm. If I go any more, the insert would lose its strength. I would need to make new pod plates to make it more narrow. My goal was 172mm and maintain integrity. The X-ray gear diff is very wide.
