Small changes, you will do fine with either. More important is the condition of the chassis/arms if you buy used.
When I raced the X1 a lot at Norcal/WSR, the stock carbon chassis flexes/fatigues over time and causes erratic handling. Usually 8 or 9 months into hard racing with a few crashes here and there seems to diminish the handling.
