The spring in the clutch was broken to pieces - thanks everyone. The shoes were OK, slightly worn out but not melted, as they were metallic. Replaced them anyway, since I got a new pair with a new spring. What is the expected lifespan for the spring/shoes? Does it make sense to order a few more in advance?
