These new receivers i.e. ones made in the last 10 years have a coax antenna that is replaceable on spektrum, however I'm not sure about other brands. Maybe you should read how everyone said the model number matters, because some use regular wire, and some use antenna wire. Also have you heard about radio shack? Because I have some really bad news for ya.
