Ok, so almost finished my rebuild (first edition X1) and
- battery question: Am I missing something or is it a pain in the ass to mount the battery? It's mounted inline at the moment and I need to detach the center shock and screw off the body post/shock holder to get it in or out. Or do you just leave the battery in and race with the same one each time? I have 3 batteries and planned to switch during charging times. Might try cross chassis otherwise.
- shock question: so I have rebuild the center shock and the side shock, both with 600cst as per the manual and I'm confused about the rebound thing.
- center shock: when i push up the shock shaft, I cannot push it up entirely (2-3mm left) and when I release it, it rebounds entirely in about a second. The manual doesn't state a stock setup number to try and changnig it as in the manual (loosen cap 2-3 turns, push up shaft and close again) doesn't really change the rebound (no extra oil comes out through the tiny hole). I didn't find any answers on rebound in this topic or in the f1 tuning topic. How do you guys set it? Youtube is not helping as I'm finding things like dead shocks, but I won't be running on carpet.
- side shock: when I push or pull the shock shaft and then release, it stays where it is. Is this how it's supposed to work considering it pulls/pushes sideways on the car the whole time?
(will be running on asphalt)
