The factory shocks are fine with a couple upgrades. Get the optional aluminum shock bodies and TiN-coated shock shafts.
Friends don't let friends run plastic shocks. RCs shouldn't even come with plastic shocks anymore. I've upgraded to aluminum shock bodies on every single RC I own.
