This is a smaller 1/14 car right? I used to have the same cogging on those 380 sensorless motors.... the larger 540 sized motors don't tend to cog as bad.

I recall Novak had made a sensored 380 motor once, you might be able find a used one for sale on the net and that will eliminate your cogging woes
