Pick another brand and stay away from Redcat is what I say but hey maybe you will have luck, ive never known anyone to.. first rc vehicle i say go with Traxxas just because more beginner friendly but Team Associated also is good still fairly low price.

Checking all the screws,nuts,bolts on anything is a good idea
