Are these TakeOff CS 22 tires / inserts meant to be with a lot of free room between rim / insert?

When I mount the supplied inserts on my Pro Line rims, theres plenty of room between the rim and the insert.

I've mounted 3 tires in different ways by now (not glued yet):

1: 4 times gaffa tape on the rim, then the insert, then tire.

2: rim, insert, tire with 2 times gaffa as a belt.

3: 4 times gaffa tape on the rim, then the insert, then tire with 2 times gaffa as a belt.

Number 1 feels better than without any gaffa.

Number 2 feels even better, but number 3 feels the best.

By feel better, I mean the tire are quite firm. Without any gaffa, theres a lot of "air" in the tire....

But one thing is feel, another is handling on the track.

I'm running on a carpet track with some bumps. The track is tight and technical. Stock class.

My experience with other tires/inserts, is that if the insert and belt completely fill the tire, the tire both got better grip AND wears longer.

What do you guys think?
