Probably been addressed but would the 6.1 be better for high bite clay? Lots of people are gunning gear diffs at my track and seem to like them. Besides that i see some team drivers are running laydown on clay. Thoughts?
Laydown is the way to go for clay, but you probably want the ball diff. If your locals are running gear diffs you can certainly start with the 6.1 and try one, if it doesn't work it's a quick swap to the ball diff with the new gearbox.
You will also probably want to go to a softer set of springs than what the carpet car includes, but if the grip is high enough to run a gear diff the stiffer springs might work too.
