The engine maybe an issue depending on the airline. Some will let an engine on some will not. It also depends on if it is used or new as well.
When ever I have flown with my cars I take the engine and fuel tank out. And either ship them to the destination or I pack them in checked baggage.
Now you never know when you go through security if they will have issue. I was flying from Phoenix to St. Louis once and TSA wanted to check my Ebuggy out because the guy said the battery looked like a bomb. Lol. These people have no idea what they are looking for. He swabbed the car and it passed and we went on.
A kit will not be a problem but for the oils that come with it. They will need to be in the quart size ziplock bag and xrayed by itself.
