I use light bulbs, then Novak Smart tray before charge.
Does it need to be more comlicated than that?
If you want to get to 0.00 volts use a resistor only tray.
It will take a very long time to truly make the cells 0.0, as you may notice if you place in tray for an hour, then take them out for an hour and check the voltage. They rebound a bit.
And since a resistor has resistance, once the voltage of the cell becomes very low, it doesn't have the ability to pull current through the resistor, so it will get very close to 0, but never (relatively) be completly flat.
