hm wont that increase the weight of ur tires..... make u slow and make the car/suspension bounce more coz the tire wont be totally round ? make the tire vibrate and the whole car unstable
and ... slow down ur acceleration
i think its disadvantages is more then its advantages coz u will also increase unsprung weight which makes ur handling CRAP
i haven tried this method but i think if u want to belt them like u said ... try glass tape ?
dont shoot me ... i was just merely sugessting to use glass tape ... coz its thinner... just as strong and lighter .....
but since racer dave said its already belted then no need o belt them....... just use harder inserts ...... insted of soft ones
ur tires will last longer with hard inserts ...... and choose a insert thet will NOT give u any air gap between the tires and insert
it will help it last longer ......
and if u r challenging for TQ and pole dun worry about tires
the joy on wining the race outweights the cost
so use soft inserts
^ this depends on track tho ...but most A-mainers use soft inserts
