Yes it's a bad idea,Digital servos do not like to be stalled,it will burn them up.Your endpoints are important but if you think about it on a steering servo when you set your endpoints you are not really stalling the servo like you do when you hit your brakes on a throttle servo,I have tried to use a digital servo for the throttle and i did set my endpoints but i still burned the servo out.I did talk to a hitec tech and was told that you can/will burn up a digital servo by stalling them,All i could figure out is i did not have the brake side endpoints set right but any less brake it would not stop,It took about 2 months before it quit.
