Motor wind doesn't matter when you have spec gearing.
I like this. It wouldn't really affect the finishing order all that much.. talent, knowledge, and skill will always rise to the top no matter what. If it makes it more affordable by not having to have a box full of (often former) motor of the week candidates... great.
