Had alot of fun on saturday running the carpet. What is everyones opinion on tires?
I ran an old set of positron rears and an old set of micron fronts both in clay compound. The cars running the foam tires were noticably quicker out of the corners most likely due to the weight of the tires. After a few weeks hopefully the track will set some rules as to tires per class. Personally I would like to see the 17.5 classes run rubber tires. Mod guys I would say run what ever. The 17.5 buggy class was very close racing except for Eric he was just a step ahead of everyone. I think the premounted schumacer tires (eos tires) would be the perfect tire for 17.5 buggy as a spec tire. Traction isnt an issue no matter what way you go.
