Details:
Alright ladies and gentlemen... here are some more details about the RC Events at NorthEast Motorsports Expo.
When: March 24th & 25th, 2018. Doors open at 8am
Admission at the door: $15 for a single day
or $25 for the weekend
RC Events (do not include Admission fee):
Drag Racing - $5 per vehicle/day
Demo Derby - $5 per vehicle/day
Show & Shine - $5 per vehicle/day
RC Flea Market - $10 for a 6' space for the weekend.
Pit Area:
Each racer will have one 6' wide area to set up
their pit space
Racers will be responsible for bringing their own tables,
chairs, extension cords, and their race equipment.
Please do not bring canopies.
You must charge batteries in Lipo Safe bags.
Absolutely no traction compound or odorous chemicals
allowed in the Pit area
Demolition Derby:
We will be following the JWM rules in the Files section of
the Backhills RC facebook page:

Demo Classes:
Demo - Strictly following the rules as outlined above.
Outlaw - Less strict rules. See JWM rules for more details.
Milktruck - Trucks must have a Milktruck appearance.
See JWM rules for more details.
Trailer Race - Trailer must be attached to the vehicle
during the race. See JWM rules for more details.
Demo Course: We will run demo derby in a 16' square.
The figure 8 race will be approximately 20' x 40'.
Drag Racing:
The drag strip will be 66' with plenty of shutdown area.
We will be using the Traxxas DTS-1 timing system.
The surface is concrete treated with traction compound.
All vehicles must pass a safety tech inspection.
All Lipos must be hard case.
Drag Classes:
Since this is the first time we're running them at this
event we're going to run the following classes for awards.
If we have enough people interested in other classes
they can run at as exhibition.
Street Car - 2wd gearbox (3 gear min) - 1/10 2wd scale
chassis - 1/10th scale motor, 2s battery limit,
Any tire, any body
Unlimited - 1/8th scale or smaller motor.
No larger than 1/8th scale chassis.
Show & Shine:
Bring out your shelf queens or you everyday racer.
You'll get a 2'x4' section of table to display your vehicle.
It's people's choice!
The vehicle with most votes at the end of each day wins!
RC Flea Market:
You get a 6' space to set up your table of RC stuff to sell.
You are responsible for your own stuff.
If you're racing please plan to bring someone with you
to watch your flea market table while you're not there.

We will have several vendors in the RC industry on hand.
